  • 2021 is the year of 80TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE BABYN YAR TRAGEDY IN COMMEMORATION OF THE VICTIMS
  • The general concept for the Babin Yar memorial is "living memory", which is aimed at reviving and experiencing history, events and facts.

  • Agency task:

  • The agency had a difficult task to create a concept and visual style dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the tragedy in Babyn Yar.

  • Campaign idea:

  • Trees were the involuntary and almost the only surviving witnesses of the mass shootings in BABYNY YAR.
  • Since then, the trees have grown taller and larger, their annual rings have grown.
  • As a symbol of living memory, they have preserved the pain of the tragedy for 80 years.
  • Each ring is a year of shootings, persecution, silence and attempts to forget, new tragedies and indifference.
